Friday, June 30, 2006 This Week’s Update

This week was another busy one as we continue to put the new stations together.  Over 300 people have taken the online survey so far.  Many respondents took the time to give thoughtful feedback.  The enthusiasm for service expansion has been great with expressed excitement for more news and music shows.  A few listeners were concerned that some of our current dj shows wouldn’t find a home in the new mix.  I can assure you that no locally hosted shows will be going away.  We will find a spot for every one of our current volunteer programs on one of the stations.  It is also our intention to find programming that will fill some of the niche that is currently being filled by Magic and Star.  The more input we get, the better, so please be sure to nudge your friends, families, classmates and coworkers to fill out the online survey.

Also this week, we got a handful of applications for the new half time Operations Manager position, we met with Scott Miller from the McDowell Group who will help facilitate our listener programming discussions, and the KTOO Community Advisory Board met to talk about the project.
