Friday, July 28, 2006 The Engineers Come To Town!

Earlier this week CoastAlaska engineer Matt Holmes, and statewide contractor Bill Prendergast, came to Juneau to help map out our engineering and operational plans for the three stations.  Our task is to wire each of our existing studios so that they can each function as independent stations with live and automated broadcasts, and serve as production spaces.  Joining in on the meeting was KTOO’s broadcast engineer Carmelo D’Amico, KTOO’s IT Director, Will Judy, KTOO’s GM, Bill Legere, KTOO’s Operations Manager, Mike Sakarias and me! It was a very fun day of defining our needs and witnessing great technical minds at work!
