Friday, July 21, 2006 License transfer applications filed with FCC

The K3 project moved a big step closer to reality today, when the FCC accepted for filing the applications to transfer the KFMG and KSRJ licenses to Capital Community Broadcasting.  The filing starts a 90-day review period, during which the FCC will take public comment and process the application.  We expect the FCC will approve the application in late October, after which we will close on the purchase of the stations.  That puts the launch date at or about November 1st.  Part of the application to the FCC is to convert the licenses to non-commercial status.  If you have questions about the process, please feel free to contact us!
